I can't even begin to describe how loved and celebrated I felt on my birthday! My day was full of sweet, thoughtful gestures from my husband and an overload of blessings from my friends. I felt so known by everyone while opening their gifts; whether it was Aveda lipstick from Brittney who undoubtedly remembered me mentioning a desire for "more organic lipstick" or a vintage, oversized spoon thrifted by Kat & Luke after noticing we don't have an ice cream scoop! I felt very, very loved on Saturday and enjoyed every minute with Matt. He planned a sweet date for us in Santa Barbara and and made a gluten-free version of Grandma Mary's cake recipe for us to enjoy when we got home! He gifted me that darling necklace with an old typewriter key toward the end of the night and told me he's had it picked out since January (seriously? I'm mailing off late Christmas presents around then...).

 Now I'm glancing around at the displayed birthday cards from Matt's loving family, smelling the aroma of the candle Bean spoiled me with, munching on the cookies Chelsea slipped into my birthday package and feeling overwhelmed by the people that have been placed in my life.
